Tumi B marks decade of Uncapped Worship with special show

Gospel singer Boitumelo Sejeng, popularly known as Tumi B, is marking a major milestone this year as her Uncapped Worship series celebrates a decade of bringing faith-inspired music to audiences.

The Nzhelele-born artist has enlisted a strong lineup of collaborators for the anniversary edition, scheduled for 11 April, drawing on the support of well-known figures in the gospel music scene. Among them is energetic Tshigubu Medley performer Newie, alongside Ringo Madlingozi’s protégée Mathapelo and Takalani Chairo, who has become closely associated with Mmuso Worship.

Also appearing on the programme are Khuli M and Mufunwa M, one of Vhembe’s emerging gospel acts. The event will take place at the Impartation Church in Pretoria.

Tumi B, who is also the founder of the Uncapped Worship series, said the event was intended to be more than a concert, describing it as a spiritually enriching experience aimed at uplifting audiences and deepening their connection to faith through music.

“Join us for an unforgettable evening of worship,” she said.

An award-winning gospel artist, Tumi B has received both an SABC Crown Gospel Award and an Ingoma Award. Known for her powerful vocals and commanding stage presence, she will lead the evening’s worship, supported by artists whose diverse styles are expected to add depth and energy to the programme.

She said the event was designed to appeal to those seeking spiritual renewal, a sense of community or simply an evening of uplifting music. With limited seating available, she encouraged supporters to secure their places early and be part of what she described as a transformative worship experience.
