Una Rine’s 'Ndivhe Nayo' resonates deeply as personal anthem tops charts

Una Rine’s latest single, Ndivhe Nayo, has emerged as one of the most powerful songs on the local music scene, topping charts, dominating playlists and earning repeat listens across radio, streaming platforms and social media.

What began as a personal reflection has grown into a shared emotional experience for listeners across the country.

The artist said he realised early that the song was connecting on a deeper level.

“I realised very early, honestly,” Una Rine said. “Even before it started charting, people were sending me videos, voice notes and messages saying the song felt like it was speaking directly to their situation. That is when it hit me — this song was not just being heard, it was being felt.”

Ndivhe Nayo was born from a moment of introspection. Una Rine said the song grew out of reflections on life’s struggles, the pressure of the hustle and the quiet faith that carries people forward.

“The idea came from a very real place,” he said. “It started as a conversation with myself, reminding myself that despite everything, I was still standing. From there, it became a song for many people walking the same road.”

He said the song reflected both his own journey and the resilience he observed in others.

“It is deeply personal,” he said. “It is inspired by pain, faith, hope and perseverance. It is about trusting that even when things do not make sense, there is still a reason to keep going.”

The studio process was intentionally unpressured, with sessions focused on honesty rather than chasing commercial success.

“We were focused on truth,” he said. “It felt more like therapy than recording.”

At the time, Una Rine said he was navigating doubt, exhaustion and faith, emotions that shaped the final sound.

“A lot of people are going through tough times,” he said. “The song acknowledges the struggle while still offering hope.”

Ndivhe Nayo has since surpassed 800,000 streams and received widespread radio support.

“It reminded me why I started making music to touch lives,” he said.

Looking ahead, he said the song had influenced the direction of his future work, which would continue to centre purpose and honesty.

“Thank you to everyone who supported the journey,” he said. “Ndi Vhe Nayo is for you.”
