Emerging Venda artist Nevie Blue set to release new single

Emerging Venda artist Nevie Blue is preparing to release his new single, Blue in Love, next week - a project he describes as emotional, energetic, and rooted in real-life experiences of love. The single forms part of a four-track EP exploring romance, vulnerability, and the everyday realities of relationships.

Nevie Blue says listeners should expect more than just feel-good love songs. While the EP centres on love, it also reflects the challenges, misunderstandings, and conflicts that couples face. He explains that love naturally comes with both happiness and hardship, and the project aims to capture that balance honestly.

The title Blue in Love represents the emotional highs and lows of being deeply connected to someone. Through the EP, Nevie Blue opens up emotionally, revealing a side of himself that is not always visible. He notes that men are often expected to hide their feelings, yet they experience pain, joy, and emotional vulnerability like anyone else.

Musically, Blue in Love offers a different mood from his previous single, A Zwo Ngo Swika, which featured Eazy SA, Mizo Phyll, Daloo Deey, and Young Pizy. The new project is more upbeat and positive, focusing on love songs that reflect happiness and emotional connection. He describes the sound as energetic and full of life.

The creative process behind the EP was largely instinctive, with ideas coming naturally during writing and recording. Nevie Blue worked with Jex Beats, whom he considers one of Venda’s leading producers, and Malange Beats, an emerging producer with a distinctive style. He says the collaborations helped polish the sound and give the project a clean finish.

While Blue in Love continues his current musical journey, Nevie Blue hints at exploring a new sound in future releases. He also emphasises the importance of radio, streaming platforms, and print media in building momentum, particularly in reaching audiences beyond social media.
