Teams affiliated with the Limpopo stream of the ABC Motsepe League will be back in action this weekend. Matches scheduled for last weekend were postponed to a date yet to be announced after heavy rain fell across most parts of the province on Saturday morning.
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) face a tough test when they host White Vultures at Tshifulanani Stadium on Saturday. The two sides find themselves in similar positions on the log, both lying in the bottom four. TTM, also known as Vhadau vha Damani, are ninth with five points, two more than second-from-bottom White Vultures. The Magada brothers, Rilwele and Thikho, will be expected to anchor the midfield for the hosts.
One of the standout fixtures will see Mukondeni Young Chiefs take on Mpheni Defenders at the Makhado Showgrounds. The two sides are closely contesting the league title. Defenders top the stream with 18 points, while Chiefs are third on 12. Mpheni Defenders are yet to drop a point this season. Young Chiefs goalkeeper Sithembiso Miya is regarded as one of the best in the league.
Vondwe XI Bullets will travel to face Tzaneen United at Nkowankowa Stadium, outside Tzaneen. It has been a difficult campaign so far for Bullets, who have lost three of their six matches. United are expected to provide a stern test, having suffered just one defeat in their opening six fixtures. That loss came against Mpheni Defenders, who beat them 1-0 at Nkowankowa Stadium two weeks ago.
Musina United will host The Dolphins FC at Ben Serake Stadium in Senwabarwana. Other weekend fixtures include Phalaborwa United against Lebash Football Academy, and Baduzah Celtics versus Nkowankowa Continentals.
