The Top T Soccer Challenge, featuring 16 teams, will kick off on 24 December, with the final scheduled for 27 December at the Mamvuka Grounds. The tournament recently secured a R100,000 sponsorship.
Sponsor Ndivhuwo Maduwa said the investment aimed to support the development of young players at grassroots level. “We believe in the saying ‘charity begins at home’ and feel businesses should invest in their communities,” he said.
Prizes include R20,000, a soccer kit, a ball, and gold medals for the winners. The runners-up will receive R10,000, a kit, a ball, and silver medals, while third place will take home R5,000, a kit, a ball, and bronze medals.
Participating teams are Mune Pimps, Matanda Rockers, Sunshine Pirates, Mamvuka Mighty Blues, Mara Happy Fighters, Seven United Brothers, Tshikombani United Brothers, Rams Soccer Academy, Matsa All Stars, Simon’s Young Stars, Chipolopolo FC, Eagles United, Mamvuka Young Movers, and MCT Napoli.
